Philosophy and concept
In Bhutan, a small country in the Himalayas, Yidams are entities and infividuals, you as pratictioner consider enlightened. In this ancient practice, through a concious meditative journey of self alignment, you attempt relate to this divine entity in particular ways, immersing yourself in their attributes – tranquility, bravery, modesty being some examples. This allows you to become the yidam in meditation by visualizing yourself in their form, and by replacing your ordinary mind with their enlightened mind.
